Del Sol Aviation is New Mexico's premier flight school located at Albuquerque's Sunport General Aviation Area. It is owned and operated by a father son duo whose goal is to serve, expand, and educate the aviation community within the Southwest. Del Sol offers basic and advanced flight training from recreational flying to launching a commercial aviation career. The flight instructors and staff aim to serve the those partaking in aviation training with an approach that is educating, professional, and with personalized attention for each and every student.

Enrollment: This course is not available to everyone.

• You have to be eligible to learn to fly.

• If you do not meet the following requirements, you should not waste your time applying.

• You must be at least 16 to get a student certificate and at least 17 to take the practical test.

• You must be able to read and write fluently in the English Language and receive an FAA knowledge test endorsement from a certified instructor.

• Del Sol Aviation is a designated FAA Testing Center for the pilot knowledge exams and will arrange for knowledge testing after endorsement.

• You must pass the written test with 70% or higher.

• Prior to enrolling it is recommended that you experience an introductory lesson by taking a discovery flight.

• A discovery flight is the first step to ensuring that your compatible with managing flight controls and experiencing turbulence in a small aircraft.

• Most candidate students are eager to learn more about information related to training and how to enroll after their initial discovery flight.
